I'm one half of Matt and Tom Oldfield, the brothers behind the Heroes Football books series for children aged 7-12. Our fun biographies tell the exciting life stories of the world's greatest footballers including Gareth Bale, Luis Suarez and Wayne Rooney.

I also work with schools, charities and literacy organisations (The National Literacy Trust, Football Beyond Borders) to deliver reading and writing workshops aimed at football fans and reluctant readers. My workshops aim to combine key aspects of writing (dialogue, character, emotion, setting) with key aspects of life (teamwork, bouncing back, achieving dreams).
