Details

During a 33 year period of writing picture books for younger children and non-fiction books for secondary school students Ronda has been interviewed many times for radio, TV, periodicals and newspapers.

She trained as a teacher and worked for 10 years in infant and primary schools in New Zealand and the UK. Also worked as a Family Therapist for NCH Action for Children and the NSPCC. Some of the non-fiction titles are based on these working experiences.

With her husband David, she enjoys visiting libraries and schools in the UK and Europe to make up stories while he draws pictures during interactive workshops for 4-8year olds. Often based around the best selling series about Mr. Grinling, the lighthouse keeper. As well as being picture books, eight of these titles are also now published in 'two stories combined' smaller format books. Ronda is continuing to write but more often with other illustrators such as Arthur Robins and Holly Swain.

'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch' a play with music has been adapted by that most popular and prolific writer, David Wood.Originally premiered by the Oxford Playhouse in 2000 it is now published by Josef Weinberger for performances by schools and youth theatre companies.
