Details
As a professional translator and interpreter for 45 years, I have many amusing stories to tell about translation and interpreting and the so-called language barrier, including the language barrier between the United States and United Kingdom. I also give talks on two subjects on which I have published articles and books, the Middle East (Israel and Palestine) and food and cookery, especially how the British diet has
changed since before World War II and why. I also enjoy speaking on my great passion, fungi. I have just had my first book on the subject published.
Books
I write about cookery, Judaism, and mushrooms and toadstools. I have written 15 books, one of which has won a prize. I am also a translator.
