Adults, 5-11 (Key stages 1 and 2), 11-16 (Key stages 3 and 4)

An award-nominated rhyming picture book author based in Rainford, Merseyside.

Author of 'The Cautionary Tale of The Childe of Hale', (Maverick Arts Publishing) - based on the life of a reali-life historical giant who lived in Hale near Liverpool in the 16th Century. The book was short-listed for Best Picture Book 2014 in the Heart of Hawick Children's Book Awards.

The story ties in particularly well with Myths and Legends / Local History / Tudor History elements of the Primary Curriculum. Because The Childe is a 'real-life' giant, and his cottage and grave can still be seen in Hale village, children love finding out about him and I'm told by parents and teachers that they become very keen to visit the area!

My second rhyming picture book, 'I wish I'd Been Born A Unicorn' (Maverick Arts Publishing) featured in the Summer Reading Challenge 2015, has appeared on CBeebies Bedtime Stories and was listed in the Best Books of 2014 by Books for Keeps (following a survey of booksellers).

My third book, Not Enough for Queen Fluff, gets its release in May 2016.

An English and Communications Graduate of Leeds University, I am a Patron of Reading in Primary Schools, have enhanced CRB clearance and am available to deliver workshops to EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in schoools, libraries and literary festivals across the North of England.
