Hi There
My name is Simon Adepetun, Creative Writer, Children Author & Storyteller as well.
I have a passion for promoting reading for pleasure, creative writing & storytelling or all 3 put together.
I do this by engaging schools and showing them that using the power of our imagination, we can create the best stories ever.
Currently I am a Patron of Reading for 3 Primary Schools and an advocate of promoting reading for pleasure through my sessions that have taking me on visits to nearly 100 schools across the country.
I travel the country visiting Primary, Secondary & Special Schools. I can work with any age-group, but my books and content are most suited to KS2 and KS3.
I have both author talks and class workshops tailored to Years 3/4, Years 5/6, and Years 7/8, with a focus on the art of creative writing through the use of imagination whilst promoting reading for pleasure
My author talks (suitable for large numbers of students) are very interactive engaging and include the motivational story of how I never gave up in my quest to be a published author
I will engage your Students with mini challenges to aid their ability to use their imagination creatively in the art of storytelling , creative writing whilst promoting reading for pleasure.
My workshops are suitable for small groups of around 20-30 students and can also be adapted to accommodate larger groups as well
I am NorthWest based but have travelled as far as London and Norwich visiting and inspiring nearly 100 schools and over 20,00 Students with my sessions which are interactive engaging inspiring motivating and most importantly… fun
I charge £500 for a full day visit (of three or four sessions and a signing), or £350 plus expenses, for a half day visit (of one or two sessions plus a signing).
Travel expenses are extra dependent on your location
Virtual visits are also available with prices starting from £100 for a 40 minute class session.
If you have any questions at all regards to this or any thing else, please get in touch with me to discuss your requirements
Thanks

Author Visit – Simon Adepetun
We had Manchester born author Simon Adepetun in school to take and assembly and workshops and to inspire the children with reading and writing. They really enjoyed learning about becoming an author and how important perseverance is in all things. They also enjoyed reading his book, ‘The Bee Hive. We had a great time too, it was very inspiring.

Readers and Writers It was a great pleasure to welcome author Simon Adepetun to school on Wednesday. His visit continues to help inspire our pupils to read and write. I am sure there are some budding authors among our children. Keep reading at home as it makes a huge difference

Author Visit
Local author, Simon Adepetun, visited our school to talk to our Key Stage 2 classes and share his journey to get his book, The Bee Hive, published. He inspired our children to follow their dreams, be resilient and not to give up on their passions.
Gorsey Bank Primary School, Wimslow
Thank you so much for today. All the children absolutely loved your sessions
Culcheth High School, Culcheth , Warrington
On the Monday and Friday, Year 7 welcomed Simon Adepetun, a local author, who recently published a children’s book called ‘The Beehive’. The students were given an insight into the creative writing process and also used the advice given by Simon to create and then share their own short stories. Year 7 students produced some excellent creative writing during the workshop and gained confidence in their own writing ability.’

'it was a super day for all'
Simon was fantastic. He inspired the children across Key Stage 2 with his life story and how he never gave up in his dream to publish a book. He motivated children to become readers and writers and was perfect for World Book Week.
Highly recommend him!
Pupils and staff in Year 5 and Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed the session with Simon. They were engaged for the duration of the session and inspired them to become more creative in their writing. We look forward to Simon joining us again for the next World Book Day.
Simon did a really inspiring whole school assembly about not giving up, which really captured children of all ages in our school. His books also have the unique selling point of his daughter being an illustrator, which the children also loved. The workshops were really fantastic for the children to be part of, but he is probably slighter more appropriate for KS2 than KS1 in terms of workshops with his books. Either way, the kids really did enjoy having him in school as a diverse, male role model in writing and reading for them to look up to!
Simon provided an engaging and exciting day for our children. They loved his two books and were inspired by his writing and his story. I would definitely recommend!
Simon visited our specialist provision today and was just wonderful. His sessions were perfectly paced and so captivating, you could have heard a pin drop as the students were gripped! Simon's activities were engaging, and all classes were buzzing afterwards, keen to share what they had done and how much they had enjoyed it. Simon worked with four classes from KS1 to KS3 and each enjoyed their session just as much. We welcome Simon back to Poppy Field any time, he was wonderful. Thank you so much!
