UNIPIGGLE THEMED TALK & WORKSHOPS for schools, libraries and festivals.
A madcap adventure series about being proud to be different. 6500 word chapter books with full colour illustrations.
To celebrate the Unipiggle series, Hannah will be offering a Unipiggle themed visits and workshops to all schools, libraries, bookshops and festivals.
The Unipiggle books are aimed at 5-9 year olds. For schools, Hannah is offering this workshop to Y1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as an assembly for the whole school. Hannah continues to offer picture book themed workshops based on The Disgusting Sandwich to Early Years and Reception classes and Y1 (as well as illustration workshops to Y5+).
The Unipiggle assembly session is approximately 45 mins and involves a slideshow presentation, the use of interactive props to amuse and delight with a magic trick plus a story reading and draw-a-long. A Q&A session can be added on at the end. The school will need to provide a screen / projector and a flip-chart. If you choose to do the draw-a-long session in the assembly, each child will need a pencil and a clip board.
Workshop sessions follow on from the assembly and are 45 mins- 1hr. Hannah can work with up to 60 children per session, although smaller, class sized groups are recommended. A draw-a-long / Q&A can be done at the start of each workshop if you chose not to do it during assembly. The aim of the workshop is to engage children with story worlds and characters, focusing on them drawing 'magical maps'. Hannah will need access to a flip-chart and screen. The school will need to provide pencils, pens and paper for the children.
For Festivals, Libraries and Bookshops, The talk and workshop can be adapted to a 1hr event with props, a draw-a-long and /or fun Unipiggle craft activity! Please contact to discuss.
