Have you ever wanted to write your own story? Make Story Soup? Visit Story Mountain? Yes? Marvellous news. Get ready to imagine your very own mysterious and never-before-seen-before-ever characters and create a story where they come to life!
Feelings! Faces! Action! Adventure! Heroes! Villains!

Experience all this and more at the Storymakers Workshop!

I am a debut children's book author and illustrator and I love running Storymaking Workshops with children of all ages.

I've recently run these workshops at schools and festivals nationally and internationally and at the Bath Festival of Children's Literature.

The workshops consist of readings, Q&A, draw-alongs, character creation and plotting and work for KS2 and KS3.

Here's what people have said about the workshops...

“Paul has made me want to read more books.”
“I liked how he took the time to really answer our questions.”
“When Paul read the story, I liked the voices he used for the characters. It really made me laugh.”
“He was really fun and creative.”
Year 5 Children, Filton Avenue Primary School Bristol

“The children loved it, thank you so much!”
Miss Gibson, Warren Primary Academy Nottingham

“You made lots of children smile today!”
Miss Fletcher Brown, Vineyard School Richmond

“The children really enjoyed it and got a lot out of it!”
“It was really fun! Absolutely engaging!”
Miss Crome, St Ignatius Primary School Tottenham

“It was a really successful workshop and gave the students a great insight into
the creative process but also showed that everyone has the potential to tell a great story.”
 Mr Ferrigan, Haringey Learning Partnership

Event feedback

What can we say? Amazing. Not only were Paul's workshops fantastic, with overwhelmingly positive feedback, he was also such a nice presence to have at our lit fest. He attended other workshops and took part and was a joy to have around. We'd book Paul again in a heartbeat.
