Inspiring Change One Story at a Time.
I am an author, inspirational speaker, and workshop facilitator.
***My first children’s book, Sedrick’s Adventures in Hopeland is out now!**
In 2020, I wrote my debut novel, Katie, A New Chapter, a self-help work of fiction based on my life experiences with mental health, abuse, and trauma. I am proud to say the book has helped to save a life.
I found the writing process so cathartic and enjoyable that I have continued pursuing my passion and published three further fiction books:
*Tom, The Next Chapter,
*Falling in Love at 40,
*Sedrick's Adventures in Hopeland.
I have also released the audio version of Katie, A New Chapter, narrated by me.
As an inspirational speaker, I openly share my story and speak on topics including but not limited to:
*Developing good mental wellness,
*Being your authentic self,
*Building your confidence.
My talks are interactive so make sure you have a pen and a piece of paper.
I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them.
I am open to collaborations and strive to bring love, light, and inspiration to those around me.
In my spare time, I love to walk, sing and read.

I’ve Really Enjoyed it
Kay Johnston - Former Deputy Head Teacher
"From a 'teacher-y' point of view, I love the range of punctuation (semi-colon, dash and hyphen great for ks2 punctuation/grammar). The exposure to a wider range of vocabulary, which they won't have heard, provides a great talking point and encourages them to then use the new words in other contexts.
Sedrick also sounds very cool! I think kids will really enjoy it."
Reviews of Katie, A New Chapter:
This book is a truly wonderful read. Honestly, it’s not the usual book I go for however I’m so glad I took a chance on both the book and Lisa, the author. The book is so relatable even when reading the blurb it doesn’t initially seem like it will be. This is the book we all need to read! Students should be reading this in high schools (currently working with year 9 students who need to read this as some of them have such little self-worth.) so they can see the behaviours of others that we think we should accept aren’t the behaviours we should be experiencing from ourselves or others. It’s it definitely an eye-opening read not only for females! We need to do more to educate people on how to BE KIND! As shocking as that is to say in this day and age but this book shows how one person's kind actions can completely turn your life around (obviously not just their actions but their support, trust and friendship!). Well done Lisa, I can not wait to read part 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent debut novel
I’ve read Katie, a new chapter and have to be honest that it was gripping. It was uncomfortable reading at times and that is no bad thing when reading about challenging issues that face women the world over. They are rightly tackled head-on and without apology. It is a book that is written from the heart and that shines through. I found myself cheering Katie on at every turn. Well done Lisa, proud of you and I hope that this book is a catalyst for others to help make the world a kinder, more loving and compassionate place. You for sure have made a difference with Katie.

Katie's Transition is inspiring
To be honest, I was drawn to Lisa, the author before I was drawn to the book. I chatted with Lisa at a ' Meet the Authors' event. While having an instant heartfelt, down-to-earth chat, this book grabbed me, though I'm not entirely sure why. Glad I went with my gut. Katie's transition from a self-doubting, introverted young woman at the start of the book to somebody with immense courage & unconditional kindness will leave you feeling like anything in life is possible. Great to have met you, Lisa.
