I am a friendly, outgoing performer, experienced teacher and workshop facilitator. I've been engaging and inspiring children, teens and adults through my rhyming stories, poems and games for over 30 years. My assemblies and workshops can have a Literacy focus or an SEMH focus.
My BEING WITH OUR FEELINGS poems and workshops are suitable and adaptable for all age groups from Early Years to KS4.
Book me for interactive assemblies, performances, author question times, thought-provoking lively activities, guided meditations and creative writing workshops with groups/classes/year groups. All the performances, activities and workshops follow my Being With Our Feelings approach, which encourages children to believe in themselves and accept themselves as they are. It teaches how to embody and experience feelings and challenges without pushing them away or getting overwhelmed by them.
You can choose a SEMH focus - 'Becoming Friends With Your Feelings,'
...or a Literacy focus - 'Discovering The Writer Inside You.'
The feelings in my books and poems include:
Feeling Anger and Other Strong Emotions
Building Self Acceptance and Self-Worth
Feeling Anxiety and Fear
Making Choices and Decisions
Feeling Loss and Grief
I also offer talks, training and workshops on 'Creating Emotionally Healthy Schools', for staff INSETS and school community events.
