Author and illustrator Paul Morton

I've been a professional illustrator for over 30 years and now an author illustrator which I absolutely love.

My two Early Readers, published by Five Quills, feature Bug Belly the ever hungry (greedy) frog. These are both 96 pages and fully illustrated.

I enjoy taking my Bug Belly 'roadshow' out into schools, bookshops and libraries and have a selection of tailored presentations and craft sessions to offer.

World book Day review:

"A highlight of the day was the special assembly led by picture book creator and author Paul Morton, who captivated Year 1 to 4 children with excerpts from his book 'Bug Belly'. His engaging storytelling and insights into the creative process left a lasting impression on our children."

Bug Belly Babysitting Trouble

Bug Belly Babysitting Trouble

It's Bug Belly's turn to babysit! The taddies and froglets in Top Pond can't wait to try out their uncle's cool water slides, death-defying dragonfly drops, and fancy frogball games. But when Bug Belly's tummy goes GURGLE-GURGLE GLUMP! everyone knows it spells one thing, TROUBLE!! As Bug Belly launches himself off the slide in pursuit of scrumptious worm snack, he accidentally knocks loose all the rocks that are damming up Top Pond . . . Suddenly, he's in a race against time to get the taddies to safety before they get stuck in the mud. Will his penchant for yummy snacks lead him and the taddies astray, straight into the hungry jaws of Old Pike, Heron or Sneaky Snake? Luckily, nobody in Top Pond has more ingenious plans up than this Top Frog . . .

Now, Bug Belly and the froglets must cross Whispering Woods on a dangerous rescue mission. Will his cool gadgets be enough to fly safely up to rescue Splodge from Magpie's nest, or will Bug Belly's penchant for yummy snacks lead him straight into the hungry jaws of Sneaky Snake? Luckily, nobody in Top Pond has more ingenious plans up than this Top Frog . . .The book is fully illustrated and ideal for early readers.
