You get a Buy One, Get One Free type deal if you book Cat... She is both a best-selling Puffin author AND one of the UK’s best-loved storytellers! She is also a poet, with poems published in anthologies from Bloomsbury, Macmillan and more.

 

Cat can visit your school in any capacity or bring a mixture eg a storytelling assembly for KS1 and creative writing workshops for KS2.

 

Pretty much anything is possible:

 

  •  She comfortably works across all ages from Nursery - Year 9
  •  A full day is 4 x 50/60 minute sessions. You can fill them how you want.
  •  Large numbers are not a problem. She is used to big audiences and can bring her own PA if necessary (800 pupils in one day is not uncommon)

 

Cat can offer workshops on many aspects of creative writing, from Year 1 upwards. As a fantasy writer, she specialises in Imagined worlds and Quest stories. For KS3, her Abstract Writing workshop can yield astonishing results with reluctant writers.

 

Cat adores visiting schools and works across the UK and INTERNATIONALLY. She creates a real buzz, brings laughter and energy to her sessions, and can be genuinely inspirational. She has been an Artist in Education for twenty five years and has super-efficient admin in place.

She is a very good storyteller and also animates her sessions with music and drama. She is very good in eliciting stories from the students to draft their ideas on paper.
