ABOUT ME/AREAS OF EXPERTISE
I'm am Author, Colour and Crafts Expert. I talk about Colour, Crafts, Wellbeing, Creativity and being from the South Asian Diaspora.
I'm the author of three books, all of which combine colour and crafts and all of which can be adapted for children and adults for talks and workshops.
BOOK EVENTS & WORKSHOPS
In particular, I recommend using my book Hello Rainbow Finding Happiness in Colour for a talk and workshop.
These start with a book reading and introduction to colour therapy followed by a craft workshops - which can be adapted for any ages.
The focus is on creative wellbeing, mindfulness and play and of course is always very visual and colourful. They last between 45mins (children) to 90mins (adults.) I've delivered these sessions in libraries, schools and public festivals including Newham Word Festival.
TALK & PANELS EXPERIENCE:
I have chaired panels and appeared on them and a pannelist. Experience includes two International Women's Day panels, South Asian Heritage Month, Bengal History Month, London Indian Film Festival and A Season of Bangla Drama.
MEDIA & PRESS EXPERIENCE:
I have extensive experience guesting on TV, radio and podcasts and regularly provide commentary in the press. My credits include appearing on BBC2 Victoria Derbyshire, BBC London News, The Islam Channel, BBC Radio 5Live, BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour, BBC Asian Network and many more. Press credits include OK! Magazine, Stylist, Elle, Daily Mirror, The Sun, Sunday People, The i Paper and many more.
LOCATION & TRAVEL:
I am based in London and can travel within the UK and worldwide if travel expenses are covered.
