My name is Simon Adepetun, a Children Author, creative Writer from Warrington, Cheshire with a passion for children writing & creative storytelling

My debut novel THE BEE HIVE was written by me, illustrated by my daughter and published by London based publisher, Austin Macaulay in 2016. My book featured at the prestigious London book fair 2017.

Since then my daughter and I have featured in several local newspapers. I have toured libraries in the Warrington, Wirral and Northwich areas, participated in some of the UK's biggest children’s literary and art festivals across the country, including Geromino Childrens Festival in 2017 and 2018 where I was an official storyteller. I also participated in the Barnes Children's Literary free event held in London also last year and have been a guest on 14 radio stations including BBC Radio Manchester, BBC Radio Merseyside and BBC Radio Lancashire.

With a BA (Hons) in English and post graduate degree in Theatre Studies, and as a former Primary and Secondary school teacher with a wealth of experience I am able to bring alive any story in the most thrilling, enthralling, interactive and most engaging way that your school can ever imagine. The act of story telling, an art that I will bring to your school like never before such that your pupils will long for more.

I will motivate pupils as I share my story as a struggling author to the success that I am today, in a most incredible never – give –up – till – you – succeed -way. Captivating them through an engaging, interactive way of what it takes to create the best stories ever. Energetically reading excerpts of my book and finishing off with an ‘author of the day’ challenge and book signing (at discounted rates)

If you want a thrilling celebration for you next World Book Day or something fresh, exciting in the art of an adventure telling story to give your school a real buzz, you want to inspire your pupils to read/write or simply narrate best stories ever, you want them motivated through a powerful message of real strive, dedication, hard work, resilience and never giving up then please get in touch for more information on how to be part of the beehive novel experience that is sweeping across the North West region and beyond

I have recently completed my 56th school author visit across several towns, cities and over 14,000 pupils and students. The feedback has been amazing!!!

NB I'm taking bookings for the rest of 2020 and for World Book Week 2021. I visited 7 schools during this year's World Book celebrations alone and have visited 8 schools so far in 2020

Also if I have already visited your school and have found my visit awesomely enjoyable, like I said you would or you have heard so much about me and would like me to be your school Patron of Reading ( PoR), please contact me as I will be thrilled to discuss this with you.

The Bee Hive

Eleven-year-old Daniel Jeremiah Chambers has parents Philip and Susan who love work and shopping and who just don't listen. Daniel is an only child ... no, he's lying ... he has a sister, Alice, who has a dolly fixation; Dan is sure she is an alien. So, Dan has a few problems, none insurmountable, until his friend, Benji, introduces him to the find of the century - a derelict bee hive which could become a den. And when they find a treasure map, things start to go horribly wrong
