  • School Governor, Writer in Residence, Patron of Reading (PoR) St. Wilfrid’s Church of England Primary Academy

My name is Simon Adepetun, a Children Author, creative Writer from Warrington, Cheshire with a passion for children writing & creative storytelling.

I am Patron of Reading (PoR) at St. Wilfrid’s Church of England Primary Academy, Wigan

My debut novel THE BEE HIVE was written by me, illustrated by my daughter and published by London based publisher, Austin Macaulay in 2016. My book featured at the prestigious London book fair the year after and since then my daughter and I have featured in several local newspapers.

I have toured libraries in the Warrington, Wirral and Northwich areas, participated in some of the UK's biggest children’s literary and art festivals across the country, including Geromino Childrens Festival in 2017 and 2018 where I was an official storyteller. I also participated in the Barnes Children's Literary free event held in London also last year and have been a guest on 17 radio stations including BBC Radio Manchester, BBC Radio Merseyside and BBC Radio Lancashire.

With a BA (Hons) in English, a post graduate degree in Theatre Studies, and as a former Primary and Secondary school teacher, I bring a wealth of experience in the art of story telling in the most thrilling, enthralling, interactive and most engaging way that your school can ever imagine.

I will motivate pupils as I share my story as a struggling author to the success that I am today, in a most incredible never – give –up – till – you – succeed -way. Captivating them through an engaging, interactive way of what it takes to create the best stories ever. Energetically reading excerpts of my book and finishing off with an ‘author of the day’ challenge and book purchases (at discounted rates) including book signing

If you want a thrilling celebration for you next World Book Day or something fresh, exciting in the art of an adventure telling story to give your school a real buzz, you want to inspire your pupils to read/write or simply narrate best stories ever, you want them motivated through a powerful message of real strive, dedication, hard work, resilience and never giving up then please get in touch for more information on how to be part of the beehive novel experience that is sweeping across the North West region and across the nation!!!

I have already visited 63 schools across several towns, cities and over 12,000 KS2,KS2, KS3. The feedback has been amazing!!!
