Feedback from events

Kimberly was absolutely fantastic and the girls loved meeting her. They really got a well-deserved confidence boost from the session she led, and the activities were so accessible to all ability-levels in the group. She has a lovely and calming personality and her focus on being introverted deeply resonated with the group.

Emilie was a dynamic and interesting speaker who led our session with personability and skill. She was able to wow our pupils with her poetry, giving them a really good idea of what it takes to become a poet as she shared a love for her craft. She engaged our Year 8s with her personal experience, performing two of her poems for us, as well as setting them a poetry task which we cannot wait to explore. Emilie has a really lovely manner, and even though this was an online session, we felt that she was in the room with us. Thank you for your time and sharing your passion with us, Emilie!

Bridget delivered a fantastic workshop for years 2 and 3. She was engaging throughout and interacted with all the children. The children loved reading her book Mo's Best Friend and it was a great way to consolidate the learning that year 3 had done on the topic. She was incredibly generous with her time!

James Harris came to visit our school on Thursday 29th February and was amazing. He delivered a whole school assembly which was very funny. He then did a number of workshops with different classes and all the children had a great time and learnt that anyone can be a writer!

He ran a really fun, informative and engaging assembly for KS1 which inspired a lot of our children to want to become authors. Simon's workshops were also really engaging and even made some of our reluctant writers eager to pick up a pencil and get involved.

Graham was outstanding when he came to visit our school. His talk to our year 7's & 8's about his books was truly inspirational giving them a slice of local history alongside pure imagination and adventure! Our students were captivated and totally engaged by what he had to say. He encouraged them that if they wanted to author a book, just to take the risk and start it and that they could go back and edit their work over and over later if necessary and as their confidence grows. He also encouraged them to take inspiration from their surroundings which he has done to great effect in his own books. Totally brilliant! We loved having him here. Thank you Graham!
